Social Responsibility

Tapex acknowledge that recognizing and implementing social responsibility is a key element of sustainability management.
Based on this, we are continuously managing and improving core issues of social responsibility management, such as human rights, labor practices, ethics, fair trade, and coexistence with the local community.

We set the ethical management as the core value of our activities and established the efficient ethical management system based on our codes of ethics to implement ethical management through transparent management and socially responsible management. This allows Tapex to create the value for various stakeholders such as customers, employees, shareholders, and business partners, and play a pivotal role in social and economic development. Tapex strives to fulfill business management that contributes to the happiness of mankind.

Guidelines for ethical management reporting system

As all stakeholders of Tapex Co., Ltd., such as executives and employees, suppliers, purchasers, customers, and shareholders of Tapex Co., Ltd., if you become aware of any illegal or fraudulent behaviors by the executives and employees of Tapex Co., Ltd., you can report the details.

  1. Reports can be made either with real name or anonymity, but we recommend that you report in your real name to ensure accurate facts.
  2. If it is difficult to verify the facts, or if it’s false reports, groundless slander, malicious reports or matters related to privacy, the case will not be processed.
  3. We will inform you of the progression and results of the submitted report via the contact information you provided.

Conducts Subject to Reporting

The employees of Tapex can report following unethical conduct.

  1. If one receives money or valuables from internal/external stakeholders in association with his/her duties.
  2. If one takes advantage of his/her position to gain unfair benefit from stakeholders or cause unfair loss to the stakeholders.
  3. If one disturbs the fair works by internal/external stakeholders for the interest of his/her own or others e.g. solicitation or introduction
  4. If one causes work interruption or dispute, or significant loss to the company with intention or significant negligence.
  5. Indecent behaviors such as sexual molestation, sexual harassment, adultery etc.
  6. Other unfair transactions, (unfair) discrimination, unethical and illegal acts such as disclosure of confidential information

Protection of Informant’s Identity

We thoroughly keep the confidentiality so that you should not be disadvantaged by the reporting.

A. Guarantee of Secrecy
  1. In principle, the identity of informant and details of the report should be non-disclosure in accordance with our security policy.
  2. We keep the secrecy on the informant and the details in the report in the process of fact check of the report, and awarding and punishment.
  3. Any behaviors that enable the identity of informant and the detail of report disclosed shall be subject to punishment.
B. Guarantee of Identity
  1. All employees shall not inflict any personnel and other types of disadvantage on the informant in association with his/her reporting.
  2. The informant may notify the department of audit and the one in charge of ethics for the request for identity protection if he/she deems it necessary dut to possible disclosure of the identity.
  3. The department of audit and the one in charge of ethics, receiving the identity protection request, shall take all possible protective measures such as the change in position in respect of the informant’s intention if he/she is deemed to be in risk of personnel or other types of disadvantage.
C. Diminution of Responsibilities
  1. For those who voluntarily report any corruption or fraudulent act in association with themselves, the responsibility is to be reduced via sufficient extenuation.
